So, uh, I’m in Uganda

Hey world! This is just a quick introduction to this nifty little blog I’ve started to share my experiences in Uganda this summer. I’m one of 17 students involved in the Northwestern Engage Uganda 2007 summer study abroad program. Along with Sophie, Emily, Rachael, Jacob, Nicky, and Susanah, I’ll be working with an organization in northern Uganda (Gulu, to be exact) called CHAFORD (Charity for Rural Development). I’m also living with a Ugandan family for the summer, learning about the Acholi culture.

There’s already a lot of stuff I want to say about this trip…so stay tuned for some soul-searching metaphysical whining!
